New Ehag Emporium Piece!

It's that time again and here is my piece for the

springy Jack O lantern bobble head mounted on a
hand cut wooden star.
Eyegore would make a wonderful addition to
any Halloween collection!

Mortimer Morbidly, Esq.

For tonight's Ehag Emporium I'm introducing
"Mortimer Morbidly, Esq."
He's the proprietor of the Morbidly Melancholy Mortuary of Greymore Gulch.
In social gatherings he's often fond of joking...
"People are simply dying to see me".

Mortimer is available HERE in my Etsy Shop.
Thank you so much for looking, and for your continued support!

Wishing everyone a Wonderful Easter! :-)

This little bunny, along with several others will be making their debut
in my Etsy Shop this evening.
They are assorted sizes and this particular fellow is approximately 6 in high.
He has German Glass eyes, luscious long ears, a loving heart charm
and an adorable expression. Each one has a sweet personality of their own
and they'll be ready for adoption tonight!

Oh... also tonight is the Ehag Emporium so be watching for my
March piece....

New Veggie Man available!...

For the Ehag Emporium this month I've created something
a bit different than my usual "unusual" fair.
This is a very pouty and stingy "Veggie man in the moon" named
"Mine!"
He's very well behaved until... you try
to take his little Jack O Lantern away from him and then, well,
lets just say it's a right royal veggie conniption!

 Available  HERE

I've also been meaning to share this beautiful Amaryllis bloom!

This bulb was a gift from my Dad (Thank YOU!) when he came to visit
at Christmas and the end of January it sent up two
large stalks and these amazing red blossoms!
There were four in total!

This was the first blooming, and two weeks ago
there was a second flush, and now a third is
on it's way! Amazing! I thought Orchids gave you alot of
bloom for your buck, but these are right up there
on the enduring and intensely stunning level as well!

For those that have asked,
I'm posting the bunnies the end of the week. :-)

How in the world did it become February already and
where did January go?! Something tells me this is going to be
another one of those years that zooms by at the speed of lightning.

At any rate, this is my first blog post of the year so
Happy Belated New Year Everyone! lol

So this little sculpture "Fantom Frazzle" is my creation
for the Ehag Emporium for January 2013.

The bunnies are a work in progress,
and are coming along nicely.

"Owlf", the Christmas Owl

Once again I find myself asking, Where did the time go?! Thanksgiving
is past, November's end is nigh, and the Christmas holidays are
just around the corner in all of it's beautiful sights, songs and heavenly aromas.

It's been raining here the last few days so I've been able to catch up
on several pieces in the studio. I just mailed out 4 special OOAK ornaments for the
annual PFATT Ornament exchange but I can't reveal those until the lucky
recipients have received their surprises. Well,
maybe a little sneek peek. "giggle"  :-)

This little fellow is
Owlf, the Christmas Owl. (he's camera shy)

He's been created in a vintage and aged style and is embellished with
German Glass Glitter.
He stands on a lovely painted wood planked base.

He holds a wee whisp of a Sprig of a tree, and looks
simply thrilled to be wearing his little green elf outfit!...
Well, perhaps he looks somewhat less than thrilled because he is, after all,
a Halloween Owl moonlighting for the Christmas season, lol,
and here he stands, waiting for Santa. :-)

Owlf stands 7" (H) x 3"(W). The wooden base is 4" x 4"

Owlf is the my year end piece for the Ehag Emporium
and he'll be available HERE tonight at 9pm (est) 6pm (pst)

Getting ready to decorate the house so doing some extra
spit and polish in readiness, so that's it till next time! :-)

Happy Halloween and new art!

As has been the case of late, I've no idea where the time has gone,
and harder still to believe it's Halloween already!

Here are some new works that I will be listing tonight. First
is this lovely folk art style owl painting, the first of a series.
"Autumn Familiar Owl"
8"(H) x 10"(W)
He was created for the PFATT group's
Primitive Folk Art Talk & Tea
Haunted Halloween Challenge!

If interested he's listed Here

I'm ready for my close-up Mr. Demille!

It's a bit tricky to see, but there are elements of
metallic gold throughout and he would look extra
fabulous in an antique gold frame.

The second painting in this series is
"Autumn Familiar Fox"
6"(H) x 8"(W)

Mr Fox will post in my Etsy shop this evening.

And lastly, but most certainly not least....
This is my "Cat Goblin" for the
Halloween  EHAG Emporium!

He's a boogery fellow for the most boogery night of the year!
Lovingly sculpted of papermache in a vintage style, from his
jaggedy scar, to his sharp pointy teeth,
he's not one I would trust in the dark!

The Ehag Emporium opens it's creaky doors at 6pm (PST) or 9pm (EST)
tonight.. Halloween night, and Cat Goblin will be available then
along with fun Halloween art from the other amazing EHAG Artists!

Wishing all of you lots of Candy Corn, Apple Cider and Autumnal fun on this
another spooky Halloween!

Boo!

Introducing "Cailleach", Seer Owl in a Moon!

The name "Cailleach" in Gaelic means "Old Seer Woman".
The owl is often a guide to and through the underworld,
and a creature of keen sight in darkness.
Their eerie screech alerts you to their watchful eyes.
Cailleach is said to help unmask those who would  deceive or unsettle you.

I wonder what she's seeing now?
Ghostly apparitions?
Impending doom?
Dinner?

Nestled in the crescent of the moon, this all seeing owl
holds in it's talons a delicious dinner of tender mouse!

Cailleach Owl is hand sculpted of papermache,
as is the old tree stump and crecent moon with ancient painted symbols.
There is a touch of magical moss and Autumnal berries,
and all is firmly mounted on a wooden base.

Hoo Hoo Who will bring home this beauty?!

" 9" (H) x 5 1/4" (W)

~SOLD ~

Lookie Here!.. AND.. a Giveaway!

Look what is gracing my tomato barrel this season!
Each year I dream of lovely jumbo tomatoes but more often than not
the largest is only about two inches across.
This year however, I super mulched the soil and started using an organic
fertilizer and Viola, 4 inch Maters! The tomato plants are so heavy with fruit that I've had to
add several more stakes to tie up all the red deliciousness!

I put in this back sitting area about 10 or 12 years ago,
but  over the years the big Australia River Wattle tree roots  had
lifted up the bricks and has shaded so much of the area that it needed a redo.
I pulled up all of the bricks, (what a job!) worked myself nearly to death hacking out the surface roots,
then reset the bricks and pea gravel.
I then added the raised area
for the old glider to sit on and a railroad tie step.
I took out the small raised pond that was there because the raccoons kept
getting in there and tearing up the lovely water plants. Silly monkeys!
The waterfall in the corner was
replanted and I'm really pleased with the new look.
What do you think?
The chairs are facing the wooden aviary with finches and song birds
and the whole space seems so much bigger. Ahhh.

Our weather has been fairly cool most of the year so I
still have several 2011 pumpkins hanging on throughout the garden.
These two on the front porch still look just picked!
Will they make it till Halloween 2012?

This original design "Scardey Cat" ornament is looking over his shoulder
towards the Ehag Giveaway! Coming Soon!
Be sure to put your name in for a chance at this and several other fun
pieces from our Ehag artists!
